As parents, we are given little more than some reading material, general advice, and perhaps medication when our kids are diagnosed with ADHD, Executive Function challenges, or Anxiety. However, these challenges involve more than just difficulty with inattentiveness, impulsivity, and hyperactivity. Many of these children struggle to manage their emotions and their ability to plan and carry out their goals, and much more. I give parents the tools and strategies to understand adhd and anxiety and to parent your child more effectively and without the downward spiral that can come into the family dynamic. Is your teen slipping away? Do you yell more than talk, talk more than listen, and worry about your child’s ability to be independent and make healthy choices? Parent coaching can help you turn it around. I'm a parent and teen coach specializing in ADHD and Anxiety as well as other 2e issues. Parent Coaching has long been recognized as essential in treating children with ADHD/ Executive Function challenges or Anxiety. I help parents understand and navigate the challenges of ADHD and Anxiety giving them tools that allow them to parent more effectively and connect with their child. The strategies I provide can shift family dynamics to build children’s confidence, resilience, and grit as they face school and life difficulties. By understanding how the brain and nervous system work, we can see the why behind the behavior. That allows us to learn new habits and ways of communicating, setting boundaries, and holding space for the person their child really is. Then parents can feel confident in their parenting choices and set their kids up for success.
